In situations where internet access is limited, Offline Redemption Ticket Scanning will serve as a dependable alternative to the tap-to-redeem option.
The Box Office App has a SCAN Feature that uses the iPad's camera feature to scan tickets for entry. This feature is also available for schools who use their own devices as well!
To further learn how the Scan Feature on Box Office functions, view the following steps-
1) How to Enable Scanning For Your Event
1) When creating an event, you will see a toggle called Scan using Box Office. When enabled, this option will enable Box Office scanning at the event.
1.1) Note- Please Submit a Support Request if you do not see this option. Our GoFan Support Team will need to toggle this feature on for you!
2) Scanning Tickets using a Box Office Device
1) Fans who purchase a ticket will receive an email to use at the gate with a QR code that can be scanned.
2)The ticket can also be printed. The printed ticket will have the barcode as well.
NOTE: Fans can also access their tickets through the GoFan app and gofan.co.
3) Click on the scan icon in the Box Office app to access your device's camera and point it to your fan's ticket barcode. Note- All scans must be done in portrait mode.
4) Select the "Use Ticket" button to redeem the ticket.
5) You have now successfully redeemed a ticket using the Scan Feature in Box Office.
